Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
The Dog Park at Fairgrounds Park in Loveland, Colorado, is a spacious outdoor area designed for dogs to run freely and socialize off-leash. With a fully fenced-in perimeter and secure gates, you can feel comfortable letting your dog explore and play. This dog park features a separate area especially for small or shy dogs, making it a safe and inviting space for pets of all sizes and personalities. The park is praised for its friendly community of dog parents and the ample room for your furry friends to stretch their legs and burn off energy.
Convenient amenities like plenty of shaded areas, seating, picnic tables, and wheelchair-accessible paths and parking make the park welcoming for everyone. While there are public restrooms available for owners, please note that the water fountain for dogs is currently out of service, so it’s best to bring your own water. The area can get muddy after snowfall or rain, and some surfaces are covered in rocks and gravel. Responsible pet ownership is encouraged—please remember to clean up after your dog to help keep this beloved local spot clean for all visitors.
Simple outdoor area with plenty of room to roam. Due to recent snow, it was quite dirty on most all surfaces. Friendly and welcoming doggie parents made up for less desirable conditions. If you visit please 🙏 clean up after your dog!
Had oral surgery appointment near by. My ride my brother took his dog there during my surgery. Their time was fun they really enjoyed the park… my appointment not so much 🤣🤣🤣
Nice big park. Usually has water but has not had any water for a long time now with no estimated time of when it will be fixed. So be sure to bring your own water, especially on these super hot summer days. Some dog owners have been gracious enough to bring gallons of water and pour them into the empty buckets but that’s not always the case. Hopefully they fix the water issue soon. There’s a separate park area for small and shy dogs which is awesome! When I first took my puppy he was very scared of all the bigger dogs and this gave him a soft intro to being around some bigger dogs until he was ready to be in the same larger area. Now he plays freely. There are plenty of shaded areas with lots of chairs for sitting and watching your doggos. Overall decent dog park.
It was ok. A good place to stretch the legs and run around, but lots of poop that didn’t get picked up. It’s also full of rocks and gravel, so not too comfortable for some dogs (mine hurt his paw). Would check it out again in the summer.
**From the parkjng lot, it may seem as though some of the fencing could allow dogs to jump through and get out, but it is completely secure (I checked before letting my dogs enter) and completely fenced in. The horse gates have wire fencing throughout 🙂
I actually like this dog park… except whoever put the fence in did not put the gate to the little dog park low enough. My dogs keep going under it to see the dogs in the other area and some of those dogs are not the nicest. After that Poodles killed a little Chihuahua, we need to be cognizant of what can happen when different sized dogs interact and vigilance about preventing it. I put rocks under the gate to prevent any type of bad interaction between the dogs. But somebody went and moved all the rocks away. If you are not going to let us put rocks under the gate, could you at least have the people who installed that gate come out and fix it and put it down to the ground like it should be? Actually, that is the real solution. Thank you for taking time to read this. From a person who doesn’t want to see anything bad happen to anyone’s dogs.
