Bluff Creek Parking Lot is a popular spot for outdoor lovers and dog owners looking for scenic, pet-friendly trails in Oklahoma City, OK. Known for its vibrant hiking and biking paths, the park welcomes leashed dogs and provides a refreshing natural escape without leaving the city. The park is easily accessible, with ample parking and wheelchair access making it convenient for everyone, including families and visitors with mobility needs.
Amenities include picnic tables, barbecue grills, a playground perfect for kids, and public restrooms (currently porta potties). Nature lovers will enjoy paved and off-road paths, but it’s important to be cautious—ticks can be present, especially in grassy or wooded sections. Staying on the paved trails is recommended to minimize exposure. One water fountain serves both people and dogs, though its availability may vary. Bluff Creek’s tranquil environment, friendly locals, and deer sightings make it a peaceful destination for meditation, exercise, and family outings with your canine companions.
I love this park, the weather has been sunny and warm, it’s been so beautiful to be walking or running out at this park. I take my kids every time and they enjoy being here. There is a playground as well. Never had any issues.
Very nice park, has bathrooms but they are porta potties and not actual bathrooms. This place is leashed dog friendly. They have 1 water fountain that I saw for both people and dogs but it wasn’t working the day I went.
TICKS!!!! Do you like Ticks? Do you like finding 12 ticks crawling on yourself and your child after 1 visit?
Yep, went to this park and found four ticks crawling around on me and my child after walking in the woods for less than an hour. Found 6 more after coming home.
Use mosquito repellent that says it also repels ticks. Use a LOT on yourself and your loved ones.
Also, stay on the paved trails. Don’t walk around in the grass and you should be ok
Lastly the park is really scenic and fun as long as you avoid the tick infested areas.
I have been walking @Buff Creek for a couple of years now. I love this trail. And the bicycles Trails are awesome 👌
Omg! This place was gorgeous. I loved the trails. The people were friendly. All the dogs on leashes were a comfortable site. I loved the smell of nature here. During our walk there were two little deer they didn’t run away when we walked by. I just felt peaceful and tranquility. This is a romantic place to walk and a great place to meditate or ground yourself.
