Amazing place for short hiking trips. Keep in mind that this park is only open between sunrise and sunset.
I’ve run/biked/driven past this hundreds of times and never really given it a thought and had no idea what was back here. Went for a hike with the wife and dog on a warm September morning and was flabbergasted by the the amount of trails, scenery, and the fact that I’ve lived in the area for 30 years and had never seen this gem before.The hiking is easy, almost entirely flat with a fair amount of boardwalks going over the marsh, some of which are uneven. I can’t wait to add this to my extended running route. What a cool diversion.Unfortunately there are essentially no amenities here. Lots of parking spots, a picnic table or two, and a trash can. No restrooms or running water. Lots of benches on the trail.
We love walking here. There are boardwalk areas on some of this trail.
I drive by this area every day. This would be a neat little area to take a lunch break. I see deer in the field just about every morning.
