Nature left each one of us in awe as we couldn’t help but smile walking beside the vast meadow. Breathtaking views were in full bloom while admiring the lively landscape and well kept paths along the way. I’d recommend visiting this area at least once if you’re in search of a great place to spend a day off. It allows you to embrace the full extent of what the Bellvue area has to offer in terms of trails and wildlife.

Hard hike. I came across one rattlesnake so keep you ears open and –if you brought one– your dog close. There is only one very small spot on the Meadow side of the loop that gets any cell service so be prepared to rescue yourself if you are injured. Varied types of views make it all worthwhile. This is a 4+ hour hike on steep and uneven trail that at times is through close vegetation and other times climbing over small boulders. Bring a lot of water for you and fido. I had 2 liters and it wasn’t quite enough.

A fantastic hike with excellent views. Its rated as moderate difficulty. It can be easy to lose the trail at times so just pay attention.

I lived in Fort Collins for a year and did plenty of hikes in the area. This one was my absolute favorite and maybe even my favorite in Colorado! Bring plenty of water because the meadow hike is nearly 10 miles if I recall correctly. Also, bring plenty of water and snacks as you will need them. I also suggest bring a wind breaker or light jacket because at the top of Grey Rock it can be incredibly windy. You will be very glad you did this hike when you get to the top of Grey Rock and see one of the best views of the front range and surrounding mountains in the area. If you haven’t done this hike yet head up and enjoy it while you can! Bring a camera too!
