Great place to enjoy the weather! Awesome trails to ride or walk. The lake keeps you a little cooler while it’s in the triple digits!

This has been the venue of all time for Riley, nice dogs, clean, 100% fenced in with a nice gate – the ultimate dog park for many reasons….but the overwhelming reason was the pond. Wonderful to have the dogs run and play and swim. Marvelous. Just learned in May 2018 they are shutting down this dog park. Really sad. I don’t know of any other large park with a fenced in pond anywhere in Southern United States. I think once the visiting citizens of Grapevine and surrounding area’s dog owners see the signage posting the closing….there may be some pushback on this closing. Riley votes …Keep it open for dogs.

Begin this trail at the parking area near the soccer fields at Oak Grove Park. At this location, there is trail head signage and a large fenced in irrigation pond. C. Shane Wilbanks trail is one of the longer trails in the Grapevine Trail System. This trail offers a distance of 3.2 miles but can be combined with Oak Grove Trail to get a better workout

One of the better places in Grapevine to take your dog(s) and have a good time. The kids love it too. Lots of parking as you can see, nice pond and fountain and benches with shade. You can go wrong here. Even without a dog, it is just fun to dog/people watch and relax.
