Peaceful, hilly, and quiet. I take this as an out & back trail instead of a loop because the south portion just goes along Huebner. I went on a Friday afternoon and didn’t see anyone else the whole time.
Whitside Loop Trail is right behind Fort Riley’s hospital. It is a beautiful hike that has changes in elevation throughout. It’s not particularly difficult but you will get a decent workout. The hike offers some really beautiful views of the Rolling hills.
Nice small, well paved trail with beautiful views at the top! Steep incline in the beginning for those who may have trouble walking.
