FAQ for Hat Creek Park in Cassel California:
Beautiful place to stop, relax, picnic. Crystal clear waters.
I stopped to have lunch. It was clean and the park was well maintained. There were 6 or so picnic tables visible. The water was crystal clear. Be careful…the water is deep right by the bank, so mind your little ones or those who may not be very graceful.
Absolute fun for an afternoon. The water is perfect for the summer heat. We started at the park to look at the map to get situated and then drove further down to start our float. We’ll be doing a lot more of this in the future.
Quiet park on a river with picnic tables, vault toilets and fire pits
Hat Creek is a beautiful park and has good fishing at times. When you look at the map that is posted, don’t look for the trail that it shows, it doesn’t exist. I did try to find it and ended up fighting my way through a lot of shrubs. Judging by my bloody limbs, the shrubs won! There are clean restrooms at this park also.
