Sherman Circle Park is a peaceful and inviting space, though it doesn’t have a playground, it offers several paths winding around and cutting through the park, making it perfect for a walk or run. With benches scattered throughout, water fountains to stay refreshed, and trash cans for convenience, it’s well-equipped for visitors. It’s a great spot for a picnic, and for runners, one lap around the park is about a third of a mile. While the park technically closes after sunset, there are always people around, making it feel safe and lively at all hours. Definitely a nice, quiet spot to unwind or enjoy some outdoor time.

The experience and the organization of everything from the social distancing to the entertainment for the children was so much fun during this unexpected pandemic. I still reside in DC, but grew up just around the corner from the circle, so it felt like being home again. However, this was our first time attending this event, and my family truly enjoyed it! I wished I had known about it sooner. Everyone was so nice and friendly, and just felt like a warm, welcoming, and safe neighborhood. Just like home!! Can’t wait for next year. Planning our family costumes NOW! 🥰

Great roundabout park , I like this style of community designed neighborhoods, with a park in the center , and surrounded by a roundabout. I think it’s a great way to manage traffic on intersecting streets as well as a good place for nature and recreation to cohabit in the middle of Petworth.
