Great little park, we went for the first time and fished today, didn’t catch much but it was hot. We enjoyed the no motorized rule, it was quite and peaceful! Bring a trash bag, no trash cans out there we picked up some trash on our way out. Porta John’s were decently clean, nice little boat ramp for your canoe or kayak. Lots of common water snakes, frogs and turtles.Tree that was blown over was partially blocking walk way, hopefully they clean it up.

Nice lake and pier to fish off of.

Well absolutely terrific job on the literature and the eco system for turtles. The spillway is very nice. The pier is wonderful. Why I ask when drained was it not dozed. Deepened closer to the banks. All the snags and trees left in and along the far banks is awful. Banks could have fixed up. Instead of a…ignored. Cheaply man. Now..well it’s not happening. The bridge is really nice as well. No fishing over there. Shoreline is clogged with growth. (And I carry a field machete.) In short was a favorite spot. Now it’s a good frog pond from shore. Boat fishing only. Great but bad job man.

We took our kids to fish here and it is so nice! The kiddos caught a bunch of fish, also it is very big and gives you plenty of great fishing spots. Also our young kids where safe to run around and play in-between wanting to fish. We are going back soon for sure!
