Decent little park. Most of the red loop is decently maintained with mostly clear markings. About halfway through there was a diversion that was unmarked, it looks like I got into a maintenance trail or something. It took a while to find my way back. Place is small though so I was only a little lost. The trails in some places are overgrown with weeds, muddy or have potholes, so wear boots and pants or other clothes you would hike in.

Nice hike, some hilly areas. Didn’t see much of the Haw river. There are 3 trails, see photo of Map, Red, Green and White. We took the Red Trail, I think called The Big Oak Trail, it is a loop. We started from the street. The dogs loved it, but just a walk in the woods, for me.

The red trail (Regent Park entrance) was pleasant and moderate. Not long but some hills could be difficult. The entrance is just street parking and there is no bathroom.Nice bench view of the river and a charming walk next to a creek.

The trails are challenging enough to give you a good workout if you hike them at a brisk pace. The dogs love it, especially when they reach the Haw River where they can get cooled off.

Christopher Trail

Decent trails but very short. Pretty much only good for people who live in that neighborhood to walk their dogs or for a very short walk. There are plenty of other trails in the area that are better for hiking/running.
