Large dog park is a waste of time. Terrible location down in a gulley and not easy to walk down to and back up the hill. Not very well kept up and it a hilly area. Asheboro as much as the rest of the sportsplex is Nice the dog park is ridiculous. With all the money spend here a better flat location is needed for older people and handicapped accessible.

This is a beautiful place to bring the children and relax. A great family spot and an amazing place to practice Soccer and Football, or let the kids play on the playground. I recommend this place to anyone that’s wanting to do something with the kids that doesn’t cost anything. Pack a lunch and picnic, Enjoy the beautiful park.

The dog park is not great. The small dog side has no benches and it’s coved in jagged sticks. The big dog section is a really long walk from the car, one bench directly in the sun, and then it’s just basically a steep hill side. The layout and maintenance is subpar at best.

As a kid that likes the outdoors I will say it is a nice park. But a horrible spot to put it, no one knows how to get in and I have been in multiple close calls where someone could’ve gotten hurt in the road. Something needs to be done about crowd control before a death occurs.

I am so glad this Sportsplex is almost finished!!! My son has practiced and played football there three days a week for the last several months. Whether it’s a nice, safe place to exercise or play sports and host games, it’s a great complex that Asheboro has needed! The facility is really nice with multiple fields for football and soccer. I can only imagine how beautiful it will be when it’s fully completed.
