Beautiful walking and biking trail. You get to pass wildlife, trees, flowers and water.
Great Towpath trail access point and small town / community surrounding it. Would highly recommend starting your towpath adventure at or around the town of Clinton.
Not a whole lot to the trailhead, definitely better along the path.
Trail was paved and you were close to several locks and even Stark Country line. Very beautiful trail with flowers to see, bridges to cross over, and locks to see.
Really nice section of the Ohio-Erie Canal.
Parking lot with toilets (latrines) as well as a shelter. There are a few picnic tables and a very nice grassy area. There is a fire pit as well. About a block South is another shelter next to a lake.
The towpath is completely paved. You can hike or bike from as little as you want to as far as you want. All the way to Cleveland if you are up to it.
Heading south is very nice. Approximately three and a half miles away is the city of Canal-Fulton. Well worth the trip as there are two fantastic ice cream shoppes to choose from
One right next to the towpath and one just a block away. Great way to reward yourself for getting out and enjoying the trails!
