Cranberry Creek Park is a spacious, pet-friendly destination in Kent, Ohio, offering a recently remodeled dog park that’s perfect for both local residents and visitors. The dog park features two large, safely fenced sections, including an open area for running and an obstacle course area for active pups. Visitors enjoy peaceful walks along the mowed pet-friendly trails, scenic greenery, and a quiet atmosphere that rarely gets busy. The park also stands out for being wheelchair accessible and accommodating families with kids.
Amenities at Cranberry Creek Park include a covered pavilion with a grill, benches for owners, a portable restroom, and ample parking. Waste bags and trash cans are provided, making it easy to keep the park clean. While the park shines in many ways, some users note that the walking trails can be muddy after rain and there is no dedicated year-round water source for dogs on-site. Still, the combination of dog-friendly hiking, open spaces, and community facilities makes this a top choice among Kent, Ohio dog parks.
I like how close this park is to me and it was super surprising to come here today and the whole place has been completely remodeled!!! It’s huge with complete safe fencing. I hope to see more people here now that it’s bigger. It’s so empty when I come here. I will 100% be bringing both my dogs here a lot!
Nice quiet park to walk and bring your dog. The dog park isn’t ever busy when I’ve been here. They mow paths throughout the park so you can take nice walks. The scenery is colorful with lots of trees. In the winter there’s a nice hill for sleigh riding as well. They have a port a potty by the dog park and there’s a shelter house as well.
This place is a neat little park tucked off in it’s own cozy nook. Unless your from around here it is easy to miss. The dog park is large and has two separate fenced in sections. One section is mostly for just running around and then there is the obstacle course area. As far as amenities It has plenty of parking, benches, a pavilion with a grill, and a portable toilet. I was surprised to see it has quite a few walking trails in the back and in my pictures you can see a large mound behind the pavilion. The mound is the crest or summit of a decent looking sledding area too. I took several shots from the top of it. Very similar to Towners woods bowl sledding area but easier to get to. All in all i was quite happily surprised to find this was so much more than a dog park! If it had a modernized restroom that is guaranteed to be around year round I would probably give it 5 stars. Don’t miss out on visiting this place just because it says dog park. It’s so much more!
Overall very good. Dog areas very nice. Great pavilion. Grassy area very scenic.
HOWEVER, the trails have serious drainage issues. Many trails inaccessible or bocked by water or deep mud.
Small irrigation ditches and/or short ground bridges will be necessary for trails to be usable during spring months, or after heavy rain.
I do like the park, the dog area is great, but at the same time a bit disappointed about the trails.
Nice dog park, 2 fenced areas wasn’t busy. There were some obstacles for the dogs to play on. There poop bags and a can for disposal. There is also a pic I pavilion and a port a pot. My only complaints would be that the grass needed mowed, trash needed emptied and it would be nice if there was a water source.
