FAQ for Oakoasis County Preserve in Lakeside California:
This is a pretty neat loop, easy to moderate. After parking it takes some walk through long bushes to reach to the loop itself. Start of the trail has trees, and mostly shady. If you keep going following trail sign, you will eventually reach the half point sign. By that time there are not many high trees but it is still lush and beautiful given that the place was burned down in 2003. Not much water view on the main loop. It was not crowded on a Sunday afternoon. Plenty of parking. Gates close at 7:30. They allow ebikes on the trail.
