My kids have soccer practices and games here. There’s also a baseball field frequently busy with games too. The park is well-kept, clean, and has several pavilions with plenty of picnic tables.

I didn’t observe many dogs and that’s probably due to the fields are often busy with soccer games. Nobody wants to step on dog poop.

Overall, it’s a,very nice park and I highly recommend.

A worthwhile experience for children and adults. The location features great docents who explain the link between the home and a famous author. There is a special apple tree bearing an apple variety from Sweden, and live music events on certain Sundays. I think this opportunity to learn about the immigration experience for Swedish Americans allows visitors to develop more empathy towards today’s immigrants from other parts of the globe.
