My son is 6 and is way too old for this toddler playground. There is an infant swing and a very low 2 seat swing (probably ideal for a 3 maybe 4 year old). The slide structure is very small clearly for toddlers but the sign says designed for 5-12 year olds which is just inaccurate.

Beautiful little neighborhood park! I live a few streets over and was SO excited when I saw the construction going on for this park, as there are very few public green spaces in Spring Valley(especially within walking distance of my house).I see a few complaints that it is small and lacking some things like a bathroom or an abundance of parking, and while it would be nice to have all the amenities, I really think this park is perfect for this little corner of Spring Valley and I am grateful for anything we can get! There is a beautiful community garden(LOVE IT!) as well as a new playground for the neighborhood kids and public workout equipment, which is a huge plus in my opinion. There are nice grassy areas to sit or walk a dog, however this is NOT a dog park or an off-leash area and as a fellow dog owner, please respect the rules!! There are leash laws for a reason- whether YOUR dog is fine off leash does not matter, leash laws are for public safety so just respect the space and clean up after your pets. If you want a nice dog park, try Rohr park which is only about a 10-15 minute drive from this area.Anyways, very thankful to the construction crew that built this little space for us to enjoy! If you are in the area, stop by and enjoy all the birds and pollinators fluttering about! And please clean up after yourselves so we can continue to enjoy this space 🙂

Ildica County Park is a new neighborhood park located in Spring Valley. The park is about half an acre, with a large shaded picnic area, play areas, exercise equipment, strolling paths, & a cute community garden. Keep in mind the park is very small but the kids loved it!The park features one large play structure, small grassy area, infant swing, interactive excavator, and a fun standing swing. Bring some sand toys or a ball and just enjoy the vibrant new park. My kids loved playing with the interactive excavator and running around exploring the park.Parking is limited to only three parking spaces and one ADA parking space. Unfortunately, there is no street parking either, so if the park is crowded finding parking would be difficult. Also since this is a small neighborhood park, there are no restrooms.Located at the corner of Ildica St and Sweetwater RdNo bathrooms

Brand new park. It’s a great park for the local neighborhood. It only has 3 parking spaces and a couple handicap spots. I would not say it’s worth a special trip unless you live very close by.It also includes a small baby swing by the two seater swing.
