The Red Tail Roost Trailhead, a hidden passage to a paradise within Laguna Mountain. Lush greenery and the scent of pine welcome you. Easy kid friendly 4 mile trail. Patches of snow when we hiked it on 3/19. A few stream crossings that will not get your feet wet. .5 miles away when you make left from the parking lot is a small store and a few driving feet from that is the visitors center. Plenty of parking. Bring your Adventure Pass or National Park pass to display on your dashboard. No restroom at parking lot. Enjoy!

4.7 mile loop if following marker #4. At 8am on a Thursday didn’t see a soul. Mostly shaded amidst beautiful forest, few open meadow parts. Some ascending and descending, good workout. Really nice trail, would recommend.

Its away from the city, its quiet and people are friendly. Leave your trash at home as well as your attitude! Enjoy the PCT nearby and the views. Join a club and do some trail maintenance so we all can enjoy this for years to come.
