FAQ for Dogfish Head Milton Brewery in Milton Delaware:
Second time in the area, and it’s always nice to visit dog fish head. I didn’t do the tour this time, I’ve done it in the past but it is a nice informative tour. This time we just stopped for food And a drink before hitting the road. Food was great the beer was cold and the patio was pleasant and welcoming for my father’s dog.
They offer two different tours a 1 hour and a 30 minute tour. The 30 minute is just the history of the brewery and the process. They also offer 2 samples of their beer. Children are allowed on the tour as well. They have a good selection of food as well as decent size store for shopping. Bring the family and friends as well as dogs if you want. I would recommend checking this spot out in addition to their Rehoboth location.
We stopped here on a Monday around 2:30 before a storm, and it was busy but not packed. The workers were friendly enough, and explained how to order food outside and the drinks inside. Our cocktails were delightful and refreshing, and we absolutely loved the pork sandwich! After eating, we explored the shop, bought a shirt, a few stickers, and a case of beer, and then went outside to pet dogs and admire the steampunk treehouse. There were corn hole boards set up and plenty of outside dining tables with umbrellas. I just wish the weather held out for us! It really seems like an amazing place to hang out and enjoy some libations! We absolutely loved how welcoming the place is to dogs!
The building and grounds are nice, very well kept. The staff was mostly friendly and quick. They offer many beers, premade cocktails and soft drinks. There is a walk up door window offering pizza, a few sandwiches, and appetizers. There is a nice outdoor area great for kids to run around. The inside isn’t huge. Tables are first come first serve. We had to stand for awhile before one freed up. It is a chill place and the beer is good.
I live in Oregon and enjoy Sea Quench Ale. It’s one of my favorite beers. When I realized I was going to be near the brewery I had to stopI didn’t realize how many other beers they make, as we only get a few of them on the west coast. Additionally I didn’t know they had a distilery. They also have beers that you can only get at the brewery.I got a flight of beer, and my friend got a flight of cocktails. We had a great time enjoying our drinks and eating pizza. All of the cocktails are gluten free, and they have a lot of gluten free options for food, including crust for the pizza. After my flight I got a Sea Quench Ale slushie! It was delicious! It’s a really good thing I don’t live closer, because I would be there all the time just for the slushie! The staff were all very friendly, especially Tim! I am hoping I will get another opportunity to visit again and do the tour.
