Great place for a road trip pit stop. Plenty of parking and picnic tables. Easy access from I-40. Vault toilets. Lots of dragonflies. But please do your part and pick up your trash, consider picking up a couple extra pieces while you’re at it.

Rebecca Hardgrave

Nice trails with varying distances. It is a little noisy because it runs along the interstate. The serene views of Lake make up for that. I have never experienced it being crowded.

Ouita Coal Company Trail is a multi use trail that is built and maintained by River Valley Ozark Off-road Cyclists (RVOORC). Trail is 11 miles long with multiple bridges over scenic streams. A good intermediate level MTB trail with views of Lake Dardanelle. Trail entrance is on the upper parking lot.
