FAQ for Delaware Scrub Natural Area in Jupiter Florida:
Very nice area to walk with boardwalk and benches. Quiet waterfront viewing area at the far end. Small parking lot. Gopher tortoise nesting site. Too bad there is so much road noise.
Easy, pleasant stroll on concrete path and boardwalk through sandy scrub and pond cypress swamp to an observation deck at the mangrove lined bank of Jones Creek. This path is user friendly for walkers and wheelchairs. We observed several gopher tortoise burrows and paths, as well as a young tortoise feeding near its burrow. We also saw a large stick insect. Plenty of photographic opportunities for those who appreciate native wildflowers, bushes, and trees. The only drawback is the constant drone from cars on Indiantown Rd, but don’t let that deter you from experiencing this precious snapshot of what the entire area once was like.
Concrete trail through pines and palmettos with some sand trails and a nice boardwalk through a small cypress swamp.
Beautiful, but a very short walk. Great place to observe the wildlife!
So happy I saw this place! I love nature, but living in this part of Florida, there are often more cars than nature. What a little gem
