FAQ for The Spa at The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs Virginia:
If I could give Bruce, the fitness/boxing trainer, a million stars I would. I had a session with him over the weekend and it was FANTASTIC – fun, informative, and a killer workout. The other spa facilities were great as well – pool, springs, sauna, etc.
I arrived at The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa on July 1st for a job interview at the day spa on July 2nd. I interviewed with Audrey Zmigrodski virtually on Thursday, June 26th. We set up an in-person interview for me to do a facial. I asked her if it was okay to bring my dog with me. Audrey said it was fine to bring her. She said my room would be 100% comped since I was driving on July 1st from Chesapeake, VA. The morning of my interview I woke up to a charge from the Omni Homestead of NULL. I went to the front desk asking why I was charged when my room is comped. The girl at the front desk said the charge is for a pet cleaning fee. I told her that I was here for an interview at the day spa. She said she couldn’t remove the fee until speaking to Audrey. I went to the day spa to speak to Audrey. I ended up speaking to someone else that said Audrey was going to tell the front desk to remove the charge. The amount of NULL was a pending charge. The front desk said it would be released when I checked out later that day, and the money would be back in my account once my bank released it. I was leaving after my interview for Washington, DC, and needed that money for my weekend. Now I don’t have it because of an error in communication from Audrey to the front desk. I wanted to book the Warm Springs Pools for a soak. I couldn’t do that because of being charged all that money. I needed to save the money that was left for gas and food to get to Washington, DC. I was really disappointed to not be able to experience the Warm Springs. I don’t have anything like that near me where I live. The maintenance guy working the overnight shift I had spoken to earlier in the night. I called the front desk asking where the ice machine was in the resort. I told the girl I would go get it. She said, No problem, I can send the maintenance guy to come give you ice. I told her it was okay; I would come get it. She insisted she would get him to bring the ice to my room. He got to my room with the ice. I answered the door, and he said, I knew you wanted to see me again. I didn’t want to see him again. I took the ice from him to put it on the desk next to the door. He walked in and shut the door while I was putting the ice down. He was making small talk and asked me if I had Instagram to add him on Instagram. He made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I feel like he crossed a line coming into my room and closing the door when I didn’t invite him in to come into my room. It made me paranoid that he might have a master key to the rooms and be able to access my room while I was sleeping. The room AC wasn’t working and was warm during my whole stay. I didn’t sleep well being in a room with barely any AC. I had never stayed at an Omni Resort before, and it wasn’t the greatest first impression.
Came in from out of town because I was recommended the Aqua Thermal Spa, specifically the eucalyptus cocoon. My husband and I called for a couples massage and when we got there the door of the eucalyptus cocoon room was broken so the woman said it wasn’t working properly because of that! Seems like if guests are spending nearly NULL for treatment they should be told when things are out of order. When I said something when I checked out the woman at the front didn’t even know. Definitely ask if things are working before booking!
Beautiful spa. NULL for hotel guests to get day pass which includes heated pool, hot tub, one mineral hot spring, steam and dry sauna and some cold water experiences. It’s not the nicest spa I’ve been to in terms general offering but the service was great and you don’t need to leave the property to experience the hot springs.
I love that the pools/hots tubs are all different temperatures. Don’t take the bad reviews seriously as they are coming from old people who don’t know how to jump on a website.
