We are SO GRATEFUL that this little agility park exists for dogs in such a tiny town as Aransas Pass!! Completely unexpected.Yes, there are old dried poops and some burrs. (We cleaned up all the poops). Knowing how tough city budgets are for little towns like this one, we are super appreciative that an enclosed, specialty dog park like this is set up 🙌🏻 Our dogs were so happy get off leash time and happily jumped through all the agility equipment. No one else was there, which is perfect for our overly playful pups.We stayed at an air bnb nearby and this park was only 6 min drive. The suburbia section we were in didn’t have side walks and walking big dogs on leash was awkward cuz every grassy patch was someone’s private property and front yard. Not ideal at all – this little park saved us!There’s also a separate section for small dogs, which is also thoughtful and nice as someone brought their puppies and that kept them safely away from our big girls.
Warning, must bring mosquito repellent for this park. It is equipped with small and large gated areas with water bowls, tennis balls and poop scoop tools. Glad I googled dog park, wasn’t aware there was one in Port A.
this is a nice small dog park. everyone -people and pups- was friendly. lots of grass; didn’t find any burrs. a good place to give your dog some exercise. there is a small covered area with 2 benches and a picnic table more in the center. separate area for small dogs.
This park would be really great if it were treated for the two terrible weeds. Foxtails and burrs are everywhere, one of which can be lethal if it burrows in to the dogs flesh. If I lived in the area, I’d invest in eradication of them. Otherwise a nice park with mostly nice, and respectful pets and owners.
