I’ve lived by this park for years and watching it grow was pretty cool. It’s a memorial right now. It has a track that runs around the whole park. It has plenty of BBQ pits. None of the water fountains work though. It’s a very quiet park. Farming fields and a neighborhood surround it. No matter how many changes it goes through it’s still the welcoming west side park. I’ve traveled around the United States and I think it’s my favorite out of all I’ve been too.
It’s a very beautiful park and many beautiful sculpturs also paints. The greatest part of the Veterans Memorial Park are all the details on benches.
Beautiful memorial to our veterans! The city and county have done a wonderful job of turning this park into something spectacular.I just attended the dedication ceremony of new monuments honoring those lost and those missing from WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. They are awesome, and I encourage anyone to go see them for yourselves. Just wonderful!There are many other amenities at the park, including a walking track, football and soccer fields, and a completely ADA certified playground. Come check it out!
