FAQ for Sunset Beach Park in Treasure Island Florida:
When we first moved here this was our favorite spot. The water was bohemian and the people and pups were all great. Unfortunately after Helene and Milton there’s not as much beach anymore even at low tide 😞 Still a great little spot but I long for it to be what it was…
We love it here! Small off leash dog beach. Everyone is usually friendly, as are the dogs. This beach is small, so only visit if you love being surrounded by dogs. 😊 Leave aggressive or unfriendly dogs at home. Swimming, running, balls and frisbees. There is no fresh water source so bring lots of water for your dog.
We love this place. Both of our dogs love the water and this beach is perfectly crafted for by far the best dog beach around. The dog owners have always been courteous and friendly. We have never had any issues and we have got to know many of the dogs that are regularly at this spot. We visit at least 4 times/ per week. Definitely recommend
Highly recommend coming here early in the morning like 8am when there are less people and dogs in general. Area is not really that big, but my boy still had a lot of fun.
Fun for our Nebraska dogs to see what the beach is all about!!For first time visitors reading the review, drive to the very end of the road until you can’t drive anymore and you will see the beach. It’s none of the entrances along the parking lots you see by the regular beach. Drive til the stop sign and turn right and you’ll pass the tennis courts and see the parking lot. Paid parking. Fun time!
