We love Sour Lake’s community park! Splash pad when it’s warm outside, playground for all ages, and community events like Movie in the Park.
The park itself is nice, but it’s hard to enjoy when not only is there dog poop all over the park, but there are constantly groups of preteen boys there cursing like sailors, and groups of preteen girls dressed like they’re about to spend the night with sailors on their short time on land.
Well, the Sour Lake Chamber of Commerce Trunk or Treat 2023 in Lion’s Park is a wrap! Thank you to all who volunteered their time, money, and efforts to this event. What a turnout!!
We love going to this park while it’s warm and my grandchildren can play in the water at their splash pad. It’s well maintained and had 3 covered pavilions each with a small picnic table under the covers us a large enough open area next to each table that we put lawn chairs and out small wagon containing our supplies and picnic items. The park has clean simple restrooms too.
Great place to walk or run.Parts of the path are shaded so a welcome break from the sun. No dogs or traffic to watch out for either. On side walk 1 lap is 1/4 of a mile.
