FAQ for Betsy Head Park in Brooklyn New York:
It is mostly clean, perfect for all forms of exercise, a few spots to du pull ups, pushup, chest and core stuff. No real grass that bummed me out coming from the Carribbean but the turf is ok
This park is always wonderful in any kind of weather. I always feel good when I come here and most of the time I ride my BAT CYCLE to this park and watch people play football , soccer and just watch the kids play. It really make my heart feel so happy. And since this month is July the pool is open for everyone.
Absolutley love this pool. Not just bc it’s the closets I can get to but the wait in line is never too long. They are organized and strategic when it comes to the line being overly too long. They staff is typically the stern yet friendly! They also give free lunch during the pool break, female locker and pool pool itself is spacious. I make my way here every summer since moving to ENY.
I like this space. It is more for outdoor sporting activities rather than lounging. It is Summer time and it is active but not crowded. You can find groups of kids participating in their planned sport sponsored by the city, people walking and running around the track, some using the gym apparatus, others are taking in the views while sitting on one of the ample seating provided around the track. In the distance from where I sit, there is a group of mostly middle-aged to senior African-American women doing line dance to the tunes of the Electric slide and the like. The class is free and they are there most weekday mornings from 9 (I think). Right next to the field and track area is the Olympic sized pool. I have not tried it as yet, but seems like people are enjoying that space too… I mean it is a pool after all. Not too far away from here is a sizeable playground and skate park. What more can you ask for? Well… I am going to ask the price of the icy from the cart vendor because today is a hot Summer day.
Love this park. I come here to workout occasionally. It has a massive track, soccer field, outdoor pool (open in the summer), handball, rockwall and basketball courts. There’s a small area where you can do some calisthenics, lots of benches to sit at around the track as well as a few seating areas.
