FAQ for Kury Point Sitting Area in Sunbury Pennsylvania:
Very nice little park at the confluence of the Susquehanna River and the West Branch. Lot’s of parking. We stopped for a break and for lunch with our RV during an extended camping trip. There were lots of walking trails and lots if places to sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The park was very well maintained. Definitely recommend stopping here if you are passing through.
Beautiful and calm. Best place to stroll, do fishing and relax…on the swings. And there was cute butterfly garden which took my heart. Best state park area. ❤️😁
Despite the overall sadness of seeing the Marina dismantled, this is still one of my favorite state parks, because it has so much to offer. The walking trail around the Peninsula is easy and so pleasant near the water, and every so often a solid “porch style” swing will show up, with a grand view of the river. . The trees are old and beautiful, the picnic facilities are numerous. Unfortunately the park office was closed so we couldn’t get our passport stamped. But I have been coming here for over 3 decades, and the place just hasn’t lost its charm.
Great fishing. Beautiful scenery. Nice place to enjoy lunch and relax by the river, or watch the sunset over the Valley.
