Beautiful relaxing walk through the woods, in places along the river. We saw many birds, including a large flock of red wing blackbirds. Bathrooms (locked when we visited), picnic tables, pavilion, a grill. Very handicap or stroller accessible, as the paths are smooth, flat, and wide. Great place for a picnic. Plenty of parking in the shade.
A wonderful nature preserve so close to town it may be often overlooked. A beautiful setting next to the river with very nice gravel loop walkway, this is a nice place to walk or ride a bike and check out the historical markers along the path. Very close to town but secluded to make it seem as though you’re further out in the great outdoors!
