I want to preface by saying that I understand that every dog daycare is different for every dogs personality. We tried to use my old dogs daycare for our young puppy and it was not a good fit. He was a little too energetic for them and they locked him away by himself for the day. That caused him to come home more wild than when he left. Our vet suggested Chewie’s and we couldn’t be happier. I originally signed up for the “Specialized Daycare” option because I was told that my lab puppy was too wild to be with other dogs and so I thought he should’ve been separated. Fortunately, I also told this to Chewie’s and they tested out my dog before just assuming I was correct about him not being ok in a group. To my surprise, my dog fit in great with the group and he got to play with new friends all day. I was able to see pictures of him on Facebook and he looked so happy. I also got a note from the manager saying that he was able to join the group play and fit in great.I am so impressed with the staff at Chewie’s and their willingness to test out my dog. I was feeling pretty upset thinking that I had a puppy that couldn’t be around other dogs. Chewie’s made me feel so much better and he now has a great place to make new friends. He also came home ready for a nice long nap, which is always great with a lab..

I used to love this place until one day I left my dog there to get groomed and was completely stared down and given dirty looks when I dropped him off beginning from outside into the front desk area. As if I was neglecting him due to his appearance. My dog has curly fur and frequently gets into everything so he can get matted and tangled pretty easily. The second I stepped in I received the nastiest looks from 3 woman, mind you this was maybe 2 years ago and this has stayed with me since. Extremely unprofessional. In addition, my dog was once groomed with unsanitary equipment (per the Vet) and got a rash in his groin area and had to be in antibiotics for a week. When I went to pick him up he was in a cage while my other dog was out free running around. I specifically asked to not have him be put in a cage due to high levels of anxiety. When I walked in, a woman went quickly over to the cage to get him out before I saw. Too late. That was the last time I ever stepped foot in there. I hope things have changed and/or rude unprofessional employees have been fired.I don’t like to leave reviews to complain and be one of those people, but when it comes to my dogs, that’s a whole different story.Overall…Do. Not. Recommended. From the response below- you haven’t seen us in over a year due to those reasons. 10 times afterwards for grooming was necessary as there was little to almost no availability anywhere else due to COVID restrictions. Caregiver education wasn’t necessary as I know my dog and try my best to keep him unmatted. Again he’s a yorkie and gets into a lot causing matting. That instance was one I could not address myself. I did mention something to a woman when I picked him up but left it at that because clearly my concerns were being ignored. This is being written now as I was reminded of the incident.I appreciate your concerned response and wish your business well.

Our cat, Avishan, was in dire need of a pedicure and a haircut, as her fur was getting matted at her flanks. We’d never been to Chewie’s before but decided to give it a shot thanks to its proximity and prices. We were sure our cat would need a lion cut to get rid of all the tangles, so we dropped her off and waited to get called back. Imagine our surprise when we DID get a call back to say that the groomer wouldn’t needto do a lion cut after all, and if we wanted to, they’d just give her a normal grooming. So we agreed. When we picked her up, Avi looked GREAT. It’s rare to find a business that tells you that you don’t need to take their priciest option to handle your needs. I was very impressed with that. So, Avi looks great now, the experience was quick and definitely reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We’ll definitely be back when the need arises!

Love Love Love Chewie’s! I bring my fluffy cat there for a good brush and to get his nails clipped. Lenny comes home happy and the staff is really nice. When his regular groomer shut down and would only groom dogs during the pandemic, Chewie’s was happy to take care of us.

Just rescued a Siberian Husky to join our fur family over the weekend. We have only had him for 48 hours and I’d spent that time contacting groomers to get him seen. His fur was not something that could be taken care of at home, his matting was heartbreaking. Finding someone to take on a new client and have immediate availability was proving challenging. They responded to my email the same day, even after their business hours. Promising a call back in the am. They did exactly that and contacted me the next morning. I spoke with several people on the team that day and Bonnie herself told me to bring him in THAT day to be seen. After meeting and seeing our boy she was not sure she could do the job in one go. Though she was so compassionate for our situation and his. It took 3 hours of devotion from her and her staff. His transformation almost had me in tears. Our new baby came out looking like a new dog. I can only imagine how good he must feel. I know we feel so much relief for him. The kindness and just pure love they showed for him was a one of a kind experience. They took videos/photos of the before and after for us and some of the grooming experience as well. I don’t even know where to begin to express how thankful I am for Bonnie and her team. They stole the hearts of our family and we are happy to be registered with such a caring team of animal lovers. Thanks again!
