Nice, quiet place to take your dog to run around. Plenty of space and not too many other people/dogs there on a Friday afternoon.

Contrary to other reviews there is a large bench in the small and large dog area. The benches are both in the shade which is great for me and there are some woods and a trick course for the dogs to explore. This is the enrichment that my dog needs and he absolutely loves it. They have water fountains for both humans and dogs (the dog water was very hot a a bit yellow but it wasn’t a problem since I brought my own). We will definitely be coming back.

Davidson County…Home to 168k people, Bob Timberlake, Richard Childress Racing and Winery, The BBQ festival and much more. You seem to wantnto cater yourself to some form of tourist or a destination for folks, yet you only have what I can find is this one dog park. Not very accomidating for travelers or your residence. It’s situated next to a interstate, which would not be a problem at a normal dog park, but the fences are only 3 feet high! That’s even for the “Large dog” area. That could be potentially dangerous to a dog and the owner if the dog were to get over a fence chasing a squirrel. The fence is definitely more obstructive to the owner than a lot of large dog breeds.Bottom line. Very disappointing this is the only option for a dog park in the entire county. City of Lexington should be even more ashamed. They don’t have one at all! There is also an isssue with the latch to the large dog area, because of the curvature the fence, the gate will not completely latch shut.

This is the closest dog park to Lexington. I like it. The only thing is I wish they had seating for the people who come. Also, the water fountain for the dogs didn’t work when I was there. Other than that, the park is a nice size, my dogs loved it and I’ll be using the park from now on!
