We stopped here to allow our Golden a little freedom after being car bound for two days. She had a blast and we met some very friendly folks. Multiple fenced runs, each about an acre. Very clean and well maintained.

Wonderful park with a beautiful lake at its center, plenty of picturesque hiking trails winding through the woods, covered picnic areas, and a paved path around the lake. Highly recommended.

I love checking out new parks and this one didn’t disappoint. We found this park when it was reported as a hot spot for bird watching. It had lots of hiking trails that were pretty amazing for bird watching, exploring, and doing whatever it is that you enjoy. We didn’t get to check out the playground today, but our kids had an awesome time exploring the woods and climbing the trees. We saw people out running, families walking with their dogs, people fishing and boating, and kids playing in the creek and we found several species of birds we hadn’t found yet. Just like all of St. Charles parks everything is well kept and maintained.

Manicured landscaping.Very smooth black top trail around the lake/ pond, stunning walkway bridges. This place has it all.I hope it stays this way, but everyone who visits here is very respectful and leaves the park better than the way they found it.True gem!We will definitely be back to enjoy the trails, walkways, and playground!

We always enjoy this park. We bring our dogs and hit some of the dirt trails through the woods or the paved trail around the lake. On this beautiful day, we brought our lunch and ate at one of the many covered picnic tables. Up by the visitor center, they have planted a beautiful flower garden to attract bees, buttflies, hummingbirds, and something I have never seen before….a hummingbird moth.

Great park!! I enjoy walking the miles of wooded trails. The paved path around the lake is also nice and it’s one of the best places around to take in a sunset. Earlier this year a large new playground was added along with paved walkways to adjacent parking lots. Kids can play without getting muddy – even on a rainy day. There are also numerous covered picnic areas and outhouse style restrooms throughout the park.
