FAQ for Allen Pond Park in Bowie Maryland:
Whenever I want to decompress or just have some alone time, Allen Pond is first place that comes to mind. Very serene and I always feel safe on the grounds. It’s very well kept and never run into problems with seeing trash or litter. Ample parking and fun for people of all walks and ages.
This park was peaceful with a pond, two playgrounds, and plenty of other amenities near by. There were plenty of parking available on the day we went, and people were having family reunions, BBQs, and fun around this park. I would definitely recommend this location for a fun day out with family!
Beautiful pond and park. My family walked around the entire pond and fed the ducks. Great place to visit.
Nice place to visit with the family. Not too crowded, parking can be a challenge at times. The bass weren’t biting too much, but my daughter did happen to snag one. Don’t worry, we practice Catch-and-Release. Lol
Great park for the family. I love that it has two playgrounds and a walking path around a scenic pond where you can watch the ducks. If you’re lucky, you might catch the ice cream truck. I’ve attended birthday parties and seen many picnics here I think the grills and picnic areas are first come, first served. The playgrounds can get crowded, so be prepared to keep a close eye on your child. I don’t recommend walking around the pond alone at night or when the park is empty, as there are secluded areas with many trees. I usually visit when I expect others to be there and prefer to walk behind another female or family. The park shares a parking lot with Bowie Ice Arena, which is convenient if your child has activities there.
