FAQ for Buffalo Creek Dog Leg Park in Palmetto Florida:
Always well maintained and lots of fresh water for our furry friends. I see a lot of complaints about aggressive dogs. I personally have not experienced that, and it’s not the park’s fault…park itself is very nice. Also, flea/tick treated monthly!
No bad dogs – just bad owners holds true here. Been 3 times and 99% of the owners are there for their own coffee hour and pay zero attention to thedog. Rough behaviors toward people and no discipline. Better owners at other parks that don’t have their head up their @SS.
DO NOT GO HERE! Dogs are extremely aggressive- attacking other dogs. I’ve been here only a few times. Multiple dogs have attacked my 8 month old puppy and the owners do not care. They act like it is completely normal for another dog to pin down and bite my dog or another person’s dog until they whimper and have to pull them off. Not just aggressively playing- they are actually aggressive and attacking.
People bring aggressive breeds there. Upon entry there were several dogs had pack mentality and ran up and attacked my 7 month old puppy.
This is a great park and the people who come here are fantastic. EXCEPT there’s a woman who brings her dogs between 8-9a and her dogs can get VERY aggressive. Today they attacked two different dogs within the hour–literally three men jumped into the mix to break up the dogs. “Brownie” and “Mocha” and the names of the dogs … and no amount of calling them off can stop them once they’re locked into their prey. BE WARNED. It is well known that this woman’s dogs cause this trouble–even among animal services. It’s no joke.
