Quiet and clean park, perfect for a picnic or stroll. We used the picnic shelter, guessed at the various monuments and the beautiful stone building, and marveled at the enormous evergreens we couldn’t identify.
It is a beautiful, small, but efficient little park with a fire pit and places to sit, a flag pole, a fancy gazebo, and a covered picnic area with serving tables. They have relocated the Oneida Academy school building onto the park. It is a beautiful old building that will have a library and museum they are remodeling to be able to hold weddings and events in. They were even able to save the old foundation; and once finished will have a small but nice ampitheatre. Sad though it seems the construction of the building has been slow and may take time to get completed. Although I can’t wait to see the finished product. Overall for the town it is probably one of the nicer parks I’ve been to.
