It’s a place to gather. It has a full basketball court, sandbox, swings (for both small children and larger children), and a merry go round. Two good sized pavilions. Restrooms are on the premises but rsther far away from the other structures in the park.
For a recreation park this place needs some help. No bathrooms, no water, a fountain that doesn’t work and I bring atleast 7 kids here 4+ times a week when it isn’t raining. The ball court has cracks all over in it, the swings are broken, and no nets on the basketball goals. What kind of park for children doesn’t have basketball goals? You guys can sure put a lot of work into main roads and new stores but Cumberland county can’t take any respect for the younger generations growing up with nothing to do. This is why young kids turn to drugs. There’s nothing to do from airport road, all the way to Brown Town. The good things we did have got taken away and replaced just like the mall is, and then there goes our bounce house for our young kids just like everything else you guys trade for making money instead of helping these kids enjoy their young life. Somebody else needs in charge, it takes a long time for us to find someone good. It takes a lifetime to make a better change for the future of our kids. And somebody isnt putting in the effort and the money to do it. I can take my daughter to soldiers beach and walk all day and swim all day, I met the man that paved the way for that area to be done… And he did it. There’s more than just one person responsible for this county, someone needs to think about these kids, the future of our cities, states and country.. you all wonder why kids are like they are today, because they all have nothing to do anymore.
