After searcing up and down the mountain range from border to border and visiting over 50 campgrounds, THIS is the best out there. It’s smaller and has a community feel, rural with AMAYZING views, is on 100 acres itself but backs up to 9,000 acres of Doe Valley Recreation land with awesome trails (hiking, biking, motor sports) and has amayzing owners at a GREAT price. We sold our house in Texas, bought an RV until we figure our our next step and I told my husbad I would rather die here than go back to Dallas.

This campground was quiet, clean and peaceful. It’s also dog friendly which is really nice. There are pull through sites that are easy to get setup in and the sites aren’t too crowded. I really enjoyed my stay there and will definitely be staying there again next time I’m in the area!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We stayed at Doe Valley Campground with our 23-foot RV and boat trailer and had a fantastic experience. The pull-through site made parking simple, hookups were convenient, and everything was spotless. The campground is peaceful with beautiful mountain views, and the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. Perfect location for enjoying Watauga Lake and nearby trails — we’ll definitely be back!
