Great trail for walking, running, and biking. There are a few different trailheads one can take to access the well maintained trail. It is a bit open to the sun but we saw wetlands, farm animals, and lots of green space. This area we saw wasn’t quite as picturesque as other local trails but we look forward to trying the other entrances and seeing more of the trail.

Nice trail. My favorite place to run. Close proximity to I-295 and I-10. Gotta play a little frogger the first two miles of the trail but quite peaceful and pleasant the rest of the way!

Great ride, nice smooth surfaces. The only caution I can give is take plenty of hydration in the summer. The trial is maybe 60-70% shade covered, it still gets hot in the summer.

Who doesn’t love a Sunday afternoon bike ride? This trail was a great excursion, traveling West from the Imerson parking area, we rode five miles. At the start, the trail is pretty open with lots of sun exposure. This is because growth is kept trimmed back, away from power lines, but before long the power lines turn off in a different direction and a canopy grows over the trail. There are some roadway crossings – and there is traffic – so watch carefully. The scenery rolls along past country homes and pastures. We had a few mild wildlife encounters, which enhanced the scenery as we rode on. The trail was pretty quiet – we passed only a few other cyclists. The parking lot was nearly empty, both when we arrived and when we returned. This is a nice nature break out of the city, but not far away. We’ll go back and ride further next time.

Only giving it three stars since it’s right next to my house. Playground needs some work.UPDATE: A new playground has been installed. +1 star.

Nice, quiet, and used enough. It needs more than 1 grill.

Pros – Nice little park. It’s clean and open. It feels very safe and the picnic area is large and covered. The playground structure is large with lots of slides and levels. It’s easy to see multiple kids as they play (no hiding spots or corners) and it also has several benches.Cons – the playground structure is made of metal so it’s gotten rusty and it gets very hot. It’s obvious the landscaping hasn’t been kept up as well. The interstate noise is also very loud. All in all it’s a nice little park and my kids enjoyed it.

This park is always well kept. There is a playground and lots of open space. There is also a pavilion with picnic tables and an outdoor charcoal grill. Great place to take the kids, walk the dog, or have a picnic. Park floods occasionally at high, so it can be very wet at times.
