FAQ for Bartram Trail Access -Beechertown NC in Aquone North Carolina:
Beautiful campsites here. The upper loop is closed due to a water leak but the lower loop along the river is still open (I’m sure most people want to camp along the river anyways). This is first come first serve so come early to get a good site. Fees are 15$ a night now.
Great trail to shred
Did not know how long the trail was.Trail head had no distance posted.Trail is more of a service road . I walked a mile out and back.
Awesome place to camp. I have been three times. Twice in the same spot. I went and paid for my spot and the ranger happened to be there when I did. Went back to my camp site and the ranger came back and gave me my money. He said the spot I was occupying was a free site. I thought that was pretty awesome. Our spot the last two times was right on the water. The boys enjoyed waking up and swimming in the lake. Great place to take the family and get away from the city.
Nice hike easy trail but most up hill
One of my favorite places in the Nantahala Gorge
Lots of overgrown Vegetation and Bees everywhere. Someone needs to clear the Trailhead Access. Trail is barely visible.
