Mostly I am making a review to say the FOOD is dynamite. I eat here a lot and every time I try something different. Every time it is truly delicious. The pulled pork, the pizzas, the wings, the smoothies, it’s all superseded my expectations! But now I’ve come to expect it will be great bc it always is.Casual atmosphere, which is all I ask for when hangin at a campground cabin type resort. Great job!
Great view from where we sat outdoors! Zack did a great job waiting on us. We had the fried okra, beer and drink called the Dirty Shirley that was very good. Good service, nice atmosphere, and good prices.
We had dinner at Quills last night and it was really delicious!I got the pimento cheese sliders and the bacon ranch cajun fries. Everytjing was VERY delicious and served quite quickly.The place was clean and cool, with great food and friendly service.
Fantastic tri-State Area destination. Picturesque camp sites and Wild Native Trout above the bridge.
About as remote back-country in Western North Carolina as you can get. Trails are difficult and hard to figure where you are at. Even as life long hiker this Trail is more than just one trail. It is a Trail system that unless you know the area it is easy to get lost. Especially with a lousy GPS.
A nice collection of hiking trails extend out from the Snowbird Creek Trailhead, but getting there can be an adventure in itself, as Google does not have the correct directions. Coming From Robbinsville on Little Snowbird Road, you have to right turn onto Big Snowbird Rd, across a one lane wooden bridge, and which then turns into a gravel road. About three miles further on this road following the creek, and going past some campsites, you will find the trailhead. Snowbird Creek Trail appears to be an old logging road, and about 3 miles from the trailhead you will find an antique rusted out car, which apparently drove in on the logging road and broke down, and was never retrieved. The first falls is really a set of water cascades, hard to see from the trail. To get to Middle Falls which is more picturesque, requires several water crossings, some of which may not have a bridge, we didn’t go that far. Have fun!
