FAQ for Richmond Dog Park in Richmond Rhode Island:
This place is great! If you have a high energy puppy that loves to run and play with others this is the place to go!
The size of the park is great, they provide a pooper scooper and bags, and there are trees in the park to provide shade. There is NO separation of dog sizes in the park, I have an 45 lb , yr and half old dog, and she’s too strong and clumsy to play with small dogs, so I have to leave the park everytime a small dog comes in. The other HUGE issue is many of the ‘regulars’ don’t bother to clean up after their dogs, or themselves (I have witnessed several times)! It is better than the old Richmond park, but again, they cut corners by not having a small dog area.
Not particularly impressed. It’s a decent sized grassy park, with some terrain features… but very little shade at noon and not much in the way of seating. No water. There were bags, but the trash was overflowing.
huge dog park. they don’t separate by dog size so if you have a small dog that doesn’t like being around big dogs this might not be best place. there’s a nice trail loop we discovered right next to park. it’s about half mile so not too long for my older dog.
Probably the most serene dog Park I’ve visited RI. It’s got a beautiful viewscape, plenty of room to run in and is right by the Heritage Trail for on-leash walking. There was a dog agility course set up by an Eagle Scout too, super cool.
