A stiff hike. Beautiful in fall with the changing foliage. Steams with gorgeous woods all around.Be prepared to go up and down some serious hills.
Once of my favorite places in the worldBeautiful hike along the river and lots of places to get down to the river.We come spend a day here every summer with the kids and bring swimsuits and a picnic lunch. Spots to just walk in the shallows or swim in deeper pools.Good camping along the river too but bring bear canisters (required beyond recommended)While the trail isn’t well marked just stick to the river
One of my favorite trails has a new look since the flood, but don’t think for a second that this isn’t still one of the most beautiful trails in WNC. There may be new things to look out for and a slightly different view in places but this trail is definitely worth a visit. You can go for miles so be prepared and aware.
Great views of Yellowstone Prong River. Scenic Trail all the way to Greasy Knob Trail.
