A beautiful Park that’s never crowded or full of people, which is my favorite kind of Park. Fairly rough hiking but no climbing. Just up and down hills on rocky narrow paths.

Shotgun creek in the spring snow. Feb 29, 2024. Came out for some much needed tranquility. Boy did Mother Nature 🌬️ provide! Great day and can’t wait to come back when it’s warm for a dip! 🤙 Leap day!

Perfect little hiking area with a various length trails. Decently maintained. Might be a bit a bit hard for kids, but it was doable for my active spouse who has arthritis. Took Tiki trail. Brought the dog. No “viewpoint” but a nice view of the creek from above. The swimming area was empty when we stopped by. No dogs allowed in there, but my husband said the water is “warm creek” temp. Not far from town but we didn’t hear much road noise except the occasional car on the park route. Definitely worth the NULL day fee. Bring cash. The digital machine just kept saying “initializing system.” But the park was wonderful and really big. Been up past here with the four wheelers to ride ages ago. Plan on doing so again soon. The Cascade View area up the road has a nice “summit” as well.
