My favorite part of this park is the Beverly Cleary sculpture “garden.” There are only three sculptures: Ramona, Henry the neighbor, and his dog Ribsy. I wish Beezus had been there too. As the oldest child, I really relate to Beezus.

When my friend and I visited this place, the area around the sculptures was a splash pad. We had a lot of fun playing in the water.

Very nice park and playground! Tons of cool trees, a fountain, mix of modern and old-school play structures, and lots of green space. My only gripe is that there’s no fence between the playground and busy 33rd Ave. Plus there’s a downward slope toward the street so not the safest.

Fantastic Park! It’s not very big but well located and designed. The track looks really nice and well maintained for running laps, or to do yoga and workouts in the field. There are several tennis courts, a dog park, a playground as well. I love the energy in the park!

Nice semi-forested, multi use park adjacent to the now, under construction for 2 years, Grant High School. They’ll be back in Fall 2019. Also, on the other NE side is Hollyrood – Bevery Cleary Grade School. Young kids can use their outdoor playground when school is not in session. Decent size dog park area but not fenced in. By NE soccer field in summer in between the 2 schools; just west in the dip area for fall/winter. Dogs and owners always friendly so far. Three more block large dip areas going west along upscale neighborhood till 33rd Ave. for picnic, frisbee, relaxing, etc. Summertime, the outdoor pool is open to the public as well as the 8 tennis courts just west of pool and east of dips. South of tennis courts is picnic benches, as well as, local auther Beaverly Cleary’s Ramona characters bronze fountain that kids can run thru and play in with benches for caretakers to relax. Full, huge playground equipment, swings, merry-go-round, see-saws, etc. next to it on 33rd ave. side that has parking. On the other side of all that stuff above is the bowl where Grant plays football with the school’s track surrounding the field. Botb are open for public use except when school needs it for games or practice. Park hours are 5 am to 10 pm. Decent size park for that close in with high school connection. Occadsional summer concerts, etc. And covered event area that can be reserved next to Hollyrood grade school.
