Rose River Falls
Rose River Falls offers a beautiful and moderately challenging hiking experience with a scenic 4.2-mile loop trail featuring waterfalls and vibrant spring blooms. The trail includes rocky and steep sections with about 900-1000 feet of elevation gain, making it suitable for those with good mobility and proper footwear. It is also family-friendly and good for kids, though the entrance is not wheelchair accessible.

Fun trail to the waterfall, from the parking lot starts easy on a wide dirt track but continuously going down. Going out and back is challenging as the way back is continuously going up with 230m elevation gain. The last section before the waterfall is rocky and narrow requiring full mobility and hiking shoes. There is also the option to connect with the fire road and loop to dark hollow falls.

Amazing hike. Moderate intensity. Give yourself 3-4 hours and bring water and food. Be sure to wear proper footwear as well.
Relatively challenging trail that takes you down into the valley and back up again. It’s about 1,000 feet of elevation that is often times very steep. Definitely bring water. The falls at the bottom are so worth it though!
Really beautiful scenery! Great hiking loop in the spring when all the flowers are in full bloom! It’s a 4.2mile (6.6km) trail. It’s considered moderate, due to the rocks on the trail. They say it’s about a 2h trail. We started clockwise and it took us about 3h. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see Dark Hollow Falls, as that would have meant a short detour from the loop when we were already tired. It was a real “sound bath” experience between the birds, the waterfalls and the rustle of the branches. Best therapy for mind and soul! 💯recommended! We would love to explore more of the park!
