Located in Amelia Court House, Virginia, Dogged State Distilling Co. Diner is a local favorite, known for its welcoming ambiance, friendly staff, and popular breakfast options. While it is a diner rather than a traditional dog park, it’s a great spot for pet owners looking for a pet-friendly atmosphere to grab a bite to eat on their way to nearby dog parks and pet-friendly trails in the area. Its convenient location makes it a notable stop for those traveling through Amelia Court House with their four-legged companions.
Visitors rave about the quality of service and the community vibe, with staff going out of their way to accommodate special requests. While there is no information suggesting on-site dog park amenities such as fenced play areas or off-leash dog runs, the diner provides ample opportunities for a comfortable meal in a relaxed setting—ideal for dog owners seeking dog-friendly stops during their outings.
Stopped in for breakfast recently. The food was good but the service was top notch. The staff was very efficient, helpful and friendly. They made me feel more like I was with friends and family than in a restaurant!

Nothing made me miss busic’s more than eating at this place. Food was fine, ridiculously overpriced and service was awful. We were the only people there, it came out quick but our waitress was too busy speaking to a coworker about her upcoming plans to move cross country (I guess) and chewing with her mouth wide open.

I had county ham, sausage, biscuit and gravy, home fries and bacon. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Relaxed and friendly atmosphere and customers.
They were very generous and put Bailey’s in my coffee on request even though it was off the menu. County ham was straight -up delicious and the biscuit was great – light and fluffy and fresh! My wife said her pancakes were delicious.
We plan on making another stop even though we’re hours away. This is my new go-to food stop on this route now.
As an addendum they’ve got hot coffee and orange and pineapple juice – I noticed in the past that other reviews had stated this was not the case; I think that information is outdated.
