Beautiful place, but the leash rules are not followed. Please be ware that if you have a dog who isn’t okay with off leash dogs running up to you, this is not the place for you. People do not follow the rules posted and apparently feel that it is “understood” that at this park, it is okay to be off leash regardless of the posted rules. Some don’t even bring leashes.

For those of you who feel this rule is optional, please work to change the rules, but please follow them until they are changed. Understand that for people who are new to the area, we assume people are following the posted rules! so your “understood” rules don’t help a dog/owner that has been attacked before and is on edge when a dog or multiple dogs run up on them. These encounters are when bad things can and do happen, but don’t ever need to happen by just being respectful of everyone and following the rules of the organization that has provided this land for all of our use.

Great place to take you dog for a hike! Plenty of space for the little ones to run around and get some energy out.
Trails are defined but not always clearly marked. A little easy to get turned around during a run.
Parking is easy and usually enough space for everyone.
