2 Dog Hotel

2Dog was wonderful! We dropped off our dog for a day while we hiked Old Rag Trail at Shenandoah National Park. They are in a prime location for the hike – just down the road from the trailhead. They took great care of our dog, and it was so nice to be able to do the hike without worrying about him!

Scott was so sweet with our pup. Super impressed with his responsiveness and communication before our drop-off to hike Old Rag. We immediately knew she was in good hands with Scott. Highly recommend!

I wish there were more stars to give, because this was a 6-star experience!

My dog is a champion sport dog who is more like family and certainly not a kennel or crate dog.

My two cats were strays who showed up at my rear porch and I took them in, had them neutered, and they have turned out to be fantastic, loving pets.

But with this pet menagerie in tow, it has been difficult for me to return to my busy travel schedule as I worry about these loving animals and only want them to be cared for by people I can trust.

Scott and Sarah are a Godsend. They own a wonderful small farm in the country, near a year round stream, and they have a roomy wonderful bungalow where the animals stay just like they would stay in my home. And the hosts of 2 Dog Hotel genuinely love pets.

We met online and then met in-person, and discussed feeding and walking and exercise routines for the pets, and the rest is a gratifying history.

After exchanging Vet information and feeding and walking routines we were offered an affordable care package at a price that was fair and reasonable, whereby Scott and Sarah would take the entire fur-family into their home for 8 days while I traveled overseas.

The handoff went smoothly with minimal disruption to the pets, food and leashes and favorite bowls were handed over to Scott and Sarah, and I headed for Dulles to catch my flight.

The pets settled in for a happy 8 day staycation with Scott and Sarah at 2 Dog Hotel, which comes with an oversized fenced-in porch and a large yard for walking, and where the animals are with either Scott or Sarah at all times, free to enjoy the bungalow or the porch, and walked and fed according to the schedule and routines agreed.

Each day during my travel I received pictures of the pets with a text or email update that ‘all was well’. This brought me great relief.

I returned to Dulles after my 8-day trip, and the animals at Scott’s and Sarah’s were happy to see me but behaved like they were just as happy to be at 2 Dog Hotel!

When I got the Pets home they readjusted perfectly, indicating to me that their stay at 2 Dog Hotel was a loving, comfortable experience.

I will definitely have my Pets stay at 2 Dog Hotel in the future if Scott and Sarah will have them!
