I recently stopped at Love’s Travel Stop during a long haul, and overall, it’s a decent spot that earns a solid 3 stars from me—good in some ways, but with a few frustrations that hold it back.
On the positive side, they have a nice dog park, which was a lifesaver for letting my pup stretch his legs after hours on the road. The staff were super friendly and helpful, always with a smile even during busy times. There’s also plenty of room for trucks to maneuver around the lot, as long as there’s no lineup at the fuel pumps—if there is, expect to wait a while, but that’s not unique to this place.
That said, there are some downsides. Parking for trucks is pretty limited, so if you arrive late, you might be out of luck. And the real kicker for me was their printing service—they charge NULL per page, which added up to NULL for just two pages I needed for some paperwork. Some other truck stops do this for free, so it felt like an unnecessary nickel-and-dime.
I would’ve bumped this up to 4 stars without that print charge, but as it stands, it’s average for what I need on the road.

The Dog Park is a nice little fenced-in area at Love’s Travel Station. Great place to bring your dog if traveling with your pet. Very clean, well maintained, and picked up. There is a table for sitting at. The only downside would be not having a covered or shaded area available as the dog park is in full direct sunlight.
