Midtown Dog Park is a centrally located, dog-friendly park in Jonesboro, AR, offering a convenient option for local pet owners seeking a place for their pups to play and socialize. This park features separate areas for small and large dogs, plenty of fenced-in space for running and play, and is known for being accessible for families—including kids and those with mobility challenges. Being next to a local school and playground, it’s an ideal spot for families looking to enjoy time outdoors with both their children and their dogs.
While amenities like picnic tables and seating are available, visitors should be aware that water for dogs can be inconsistent, so bringing your own water and bowl is recommended. The park offers a sand surface (particularly on the large dog side) and grassy areas, but it can become muddy or swampy after rain. Although the park is a valued resource for local dog owners, there are occasional maintenance and cleanliness concerns, so please be considerate and prepared to clean up after your pet. Overall, Midtown Dog Park is a great pet-friendly destination in Jonesboro for exercise, play, and relaxation.
Great place to take your dog and kids and let them go wild.
It was kind of small. It would be nice to have the water inside. And people need to be more respectful about picking up their dogs poop. nice central location!
It’s a good place to take your dogs. However, you can’t walk freely without almost stepping in new and old piles of feces. Even if I wanted to pick it up, there aren’t doggie bags to do so, or the trash is too full to put anything in it. My dog even has a hard time finding a place that isn’t covered. Also, whoever designed the park doesn’t know anything about dogs or dog parents. Sand is, and will always be, a terrible design choice to have in a park. Additionally, the park turns into a swamp whenever it rains. So much so that you have to step through puddles before even making it to the park.
Nice park for what you can find around Jonesboro, BUT the equipment aren’t well maintained (grass is). Sand is on the larger dog side not on the small dog side. The ramps have nails sticking out so watch out. And some people don’t clean after themselves or their dogs. Overall, I’m grateful for the park just wish it was better maintained. And don’t forget to bring a water bowel since the ones there keep disappearing
Good dog park, lots of fenced in room. Can be quite busy during the day at certain times, it’s right next to a school. Has a playground right next to it for kids if you have them. The area for dogs has a small dog area and a large dog area
