🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
If you’re searching for a clean, open dog park in San Jose, California, Bruzzone Dog Park offers a brand new, spacious spot for dogs to romp and socialize. The park features separate fenced areas for small and large dogs, ensuring safe fun for pets of all sizes. With pine and wood shavings as ground cover, this dog park is designed for easy maintenance, though it may not appeal to every dog preference. The area is well-maintained and perfect for off-leash play.
Some unique perks include street parking nearby and convenient access to EV chargers at a shopping center lot. Bruzzone Dog Park is currently short on natural shade as the newly planted trees grow, and amenities like benches and waste bag stations are limited, so it’s a good idea to come prepared. While there isn’t a grassy field within the main fenced area, dog owners note a large grassy field adjacent to the park where dogs are often seen playing. Whether you’re exploring pet-friendly activities or looking for dog parks in San Jose, Bruzzone Dog Park is one to watch as it grows and improves.
Decent sized dog park. Hopefully the newly planted trees grow soon and offer shade. My lab enjoyed exploring the large dog side and didn’t complain 🙂
Glad San Jose is investing in dog parks!

No grass..my dog won’t have anything to do with tanbark. Trees are too immature to be an asset. No parking to speak of unless you use Safeway lot. I’ll go back in 3 or 4 years.

This will easily be 5 stars once Trees are in and it’s a little more mature. But as is it’s spacious and clean with spaces for both small and large dogs. We particularly love that it’s close to EV chargers in the nearby parking lot. It’s useful to be able to charge while wearing out the dogs!

We went to the new dog park. It’s really large, with a small and large dog side. I’m not really into wood shavings for a dog park. But I understand that it’s cheaper to maintain. It’s like a open field with absolutely no shade. There’s water available for the dogs to drink. There’s only two benches per side. As with most new dog parks there are no doggie poop bags available. It’s street parking only. I noticed that there is a large grassy field right behind the dog area. I saw a couple of different people playing with their dogs off leash in this area.
